ONTARGET
The ONTARGET Trial Programme is one of the largest, most ambitious ARB clinical study programmes ever undertaken, involving over 31,000 people and 800 centres worldwide. It investigated the role of the angiotensin II receptor blocker Pritor®/Kinzal® (telmisartan) in prevention of cardiovascular disease. It compares the efficacy and safety of Pritor®/Kinzal® in the reduction of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.

PROTECTION
The PROTECTION Programme is a comprehensive international programme that consists of 10 trials examining the efficacy of Pritor®/Kinzalmono®as well as PritorPlus®/Kinzalkomb® at different stages of the cardiovascular and renal continuum in 6,875 patients with varying degrees of cardiovascular risk from 32 countries worldwide. The objective of the programme was to compare Pritor®/Kinzal® against current gold standards medications in at-risk patient populations.
